Quick and easy Christmas Cards – Stepped up a notch | Video Tutorial

posted in: Blog, Jeni 0

Have I mentioned how much I love this tree stamp from Wrapped and Ready stamp set by Catherine Pooler? Today, I have three cards that feature a die cut window aperture for a quick and easy Christmas card. The video tutorial shows the process for the purple card, with the written tutorials for the 2 other cards below.

I use this tree stamp to make this glitter card and gift tag, and this Spa coloured Christmas card.  All three cards in today’s post use one stamp set, Catherine Pooler inks and various Wow embossing powders. Click any underlined word to visit the shop for these (and more) card making supplies.

I shared the reel for the green card on Monday, and have a reel for the blue card coming tomorrow. Watch the video tutorial for the purple card here on the blog, and read on for the written tutorials for all three cards.

Purple Card

4.25×5.5″ card base

Tape a card front and card base together and die cut the tree from Wrapped and Ready stamp set.  Ink blend with Glam ink and flirty Fuchsia ink then spray water drops.  Blot dry with a paper towel after letting the water drops sit for 10 seconds.  Stamp and gold heat emboss the sentiment.  Adhere the card front to a card base.  Stamp and colour the tree stamp from Wrapped and Ready and adhere through the gap to the inside of the card base.

Green Card

4.25×5.5″ card base
4×5.25″ card panel

Die cut tree aperture from a card front and card base as above. After ink blending with Mardi Gras and Mint To Be, smoosh embossing ink over the whole panel. Cover with Halo embossing powder and heat set.  Stamp the sentiment over the Halo embossing and heat emboss with the Rich Gold super fine embossing powder.  Adhere to card base. Stamp, colour and adhere the tree as above.

Blue Card

4.25×5.5″ card base

4×5.25″ card panel

Die cut tree aperture from a card front and card base as above. Ink blending with Fiesta Blue ink from the corner with the tree die cut gap and Cummerbund ink on the opposite corner.  Stamp snowflakes with embossing ink and heat emboss with Halo embossing.  White heat emboss the sentiment. Adhere to card base. Stamp, colour and adhere the tree as above.
