Hello, Janet here showing that you do not need to add a lot of ink blending, colouring or embellishments to make an effective card. I use the Wings Of Joy stamp set and coordinating die with the Trellis cover plate die and one Life Of The Party ink colour by Catherine Pooler. I have a video tutorial showing the full process of this card over at YouTube.
The Catherine Pooler Designs inks are dye based inks on a foam pad. The foam pad transfers ink to your stamp easily and evenly – which means an even and solid stamped image. Jeni is working on a playlist over at YouTube showing all the techniques you can do with these great inks, and the refills.
Stamping & Sentiment
The Wings of Joy stamp set has this one big butterfly stamp. I place it in my stamping tool so I can double stamp if needed – but I shouldn’t have too. Its more to make sure that I don’t rock or nudge the acrylic block when stamping. I ink it up with Party Dress and stamp onto bright white card. Then diecut with the coordinating die. Also stamping the sentiment “you make me happy” with Party Dress ink onto a banner.
Background & Finishing The Card
Covering the back of white card with double-sided tape, I diecut the Trellis cover plate die then adhere this to a pre-folded card base. The butterfly is adhered with tape adhesive, with liquid glue for the butterflies antenna, and tape adhesive for the sentiment.
