This bicycle in the Catherine Pooler Beautiful Ride stamp & die set caught my when it first came out, but I’ve only recently got it. It is such a sweet bicycle, with a whimsical nature perfect for creating a romantic bicycle CAS card. To colour this in, I used my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers adding to the quaint feeling of the stamp. So let’s get started.
Creating a Romantic Bicycle CAS Card
First, stamp the bicycle onto smooth watercolour cardstock in Catherine Pooler Twilight Ink. In addition, stamp a couple of the bunch of flowers as well. Ensure this ink is dry before colouring; you can heat set this with a heat gun.
Next use Zig clean colour real brush markers to colour the bicycle in as well as the flowers; the watercolour cardstock will allow you to blend your colours easily. You can always use different media if you prefer. Once complete, use the coordinating die to die-cut the images out.
Adding the finer details
For the background, stamp the Catherine Pooler Painted Stripe background stamp with embossing ink onto white card and cover with Pearl embossing powder. Heat set and then add this to a soft grey card base.
For the sentiment, heat embossed in white onto black card one of the sentiments from the stamp set. Foam mount all the elements onto the card to add interest. Lastly, embellish with some soft pink sequins from the Catherine Pooler Mystic sequin mix.
