Hi, a new brand to the shop is Lesia Zgharda Designs. These stamps are detailed and perfect for colouring – I am using the Butterfly Kisses stamp set. I have a corresponding video for this card – which you can watch here.
Stamping & Colouring
There is one butterfly with an interlocked triangle and circle and one sentiment stamp in this set. I stamped the butterfly onto Neenah Solar White 80lb card. All the Neenah card we have in stock is 8.5×11 inches. The ink I used is Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
The colouring is with Copic Markers. My colouring is getting better – even after just a few weeks of regular colouring with this medium. I started with the circle and triangle using B00 and B02 and added the shading where the shapes overlap. The butterfly is in V06, V15 and V17. I used all three markers for the darker areas, and only two markers for the lighter areas. I kept the shading where the top wings overlap the bottom wings. The yellow areas on the butterflies are Y13 and Y35. I added C6 as the darkest marker for the purple body just to give this area some more depth.
Finishing The Card
To finish, I stamped “Butterfly Kisses” with embossing ink and poured over white embossing powder. Heat set the embossing until it has all melted, then make a card base from Classic Crest card.
