This is a beautiful stamp set by Sunshine and Bee Designs.  Jeni knows I absolutely love robins and she made this stamp set with me in mind, you can see the process video of this card HERE.

Colouring The Robins

Stamping two of the robins in black ink onto Neenah card, I coloured them with just three copic markers. One marker per colour with no shading – one red, one brown and a darker brown for the beak.  I fussy cut these stamped images out and even snipped off their feet! But don’t worry, I will stamp them back later.

Making The Background

Using Mowed Lawn Distress Oxides I smooshed some ink onto my mat, sprayed this with water and smooshed the watercolour panel into it all over to give colour for my background, and left this to dry.

I arranged the robins on the card panel when the background was dry. One near the top right corner and one near the bottom left on the background. To stamp the robin’s feet, I stamped the same robin image directly onto the background. I adhered the robins over the stamped images with liquid glue.  Ensuring the feet were positioned correctly.

Sentiment and Finishing The Card

Directly onto the background panel, I stamped the sentiment “Chirp Chirp from my nest to yours” and “Chirp Chrip” I will adhere this onto a card base and it is ready to send to family member.

You can use this stamp set and words all year round (not just for Christmas) to just say hello to friends not seen for a long time, friends/family moving to a new home or for anyone who loves robins.
