Floral Speedy Recovery Card by Katrina

Hello, today I am sharing a card featuring the Spring Bouquet stamp set from Avery Elle. I started the card by stamping the main floral image from the stamp set on to white cardstock, then coloured it with my Copic Markers. I die cut it out and placed it to one side.

Background

Next I made a card base using white cardstock. I used the new Picket Fence Studios life changing brushes to blend some colour on to the card for the background with Distress Oxide inks. Working from the bottom left corner where the flowers will be placed. I started with worn lipstick and blended into spun sugar. I then spritzed some water over the ink and took off the excess water with a paper towel. To add some more interest to the background I mixed some of the worn lipstick ink with some water and flicked it over the background using a paintbrush.

Finishing The Card

To finish the card I added sentiments from the stamp set. I stamped the ‘wishing you a’ and ‘speedy recovery’ using black ink. I then adhered the flowers to the bottom corner using a tape runner and snipped of the excess stalks with scissors along the bottom of the card.
