Best Day Ever Birthday Card w/ Video by Jeni

Hi, Jeni here with a bright and vibrant birthday card video tutorial. I needed to make a birthday card for my nephew’s birthday in January. Background

I used the included stamping guide to line up the Birthday Basics turnabout stamp. I used Catherine Pooler Designs inks in Suede Shoes, Rockin Red, Lime Rickey and Fiesta Blue for the card I stamped in the video. And switched the Rockin Red for Aquatini for the card I stamped off screen. This stamp is amazing! You get multi coloured cupcakes, balloons with strings, party hats, and party blowers. Each turn of the stamp spells out “Day” in the banner.

For the blue card I die cut the circle from the Birthday Basics die and stamped “Best Day Ever”, adhered this flat to the card. The background panel was trimmed down a quarter inch to leave a white border on the card base.

Diecut & Sentiment

For the card in the picture below, I diecut a green balloon and yellow balloon. Curving the “happy birthday” stamp for the yellow balloon and “Best Day Ever” for the green circle. Adhering these both to the background and trimming any over hang. For the balloon strings, I drew some black lines and my second birthday card is finished.

While I had this stamp still set up in my Stamp Platform, I stamped a few more backgrounds in different colours of ink. I will add these to my box of backgrounds for future cards. Do you do this too with turnabout stamps? The Birthday Basics looks gorgeous in Twilight!
